Hi, I’m Susie!
Owner, cleaner, and the person behind That Cleaning Company.
I started this business because I’ve always believed there’s something special about coming home to a space that feels clean, calm, and taken care of. What began as a cleaning company has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of - a business built around relationships, trust, and genuinely caring for the people and homes I get to work with.
After years of growing That Cleaning Company, building a team, and learning a whole lot along the way, I eventually realized that bigger wasn’t necessarily better for me. I missed the part of this business I loved most: being in my clients’ homes, getting to know them, noticing the little things, and being the person they knew would show up each time.
So I brought the business back to its roots.
Today, when you book That Cleaning Company, it’s me who walks through your door. I get to know your home, your routines, your pets, the things you’re particular about, and all those tiny details that make your home yours.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

To me, a great clean isn’t just about checking things off a list. It’s noticing the little things - remembering how you like your pillows arranged, putting things back where they belong, giving a little extra attention to the areas that need it that day, and leaving your home feeling cared for rather than simply cleaned.
I’ve always treated my clients’ homes the way I would want someone to treat my own: with care, respect, and attention to detail.
I also believe that trust and consistency matter just as much as the clean itself. You deserve to know who is coming into your home, to feel comfortable with them there, and to know what you can expect each time.
That’s why the relationships I’ve built with my clients over the years have become one of my favourite parts of what I do. I’m not interested in being just another service that comes and goes - I want having me in your home to feel easy, familiar, and genuinely helpful.

What I use in your home matters to me just as much as how I clean it.
I’ve spent years finding products that actually work while still being mindful of the people and pets living in the homes I care for. My cleaning kit is thoughtfully chosen with effective, naturally derived products wherever possible - without sacrificing the results you expect from a professional clean.
I’m always learning, testing, and refining what I use, because I believe a clean home should feel good to live in, too.
Outside of cleaning…
When I’m not cleaning, you can usually find me with my partner, Codyn, and our two boys, Halo and Milo.
Codyn and I have been together since we were teenagers, and these days we live a slightly unconventional life in our converted school bus with two very large dogs taking up most of the space haha! We love travelling, spending time outside, working on whatever project we’ve gotten ourselves into next, and dreaming about the acreage we hope to call home one day.
Our dogs are a huge part of our lives (and if you’re a client with pets, there’s a very good chance I’ll know your pets’ names before I remember anyone else’s). I’m the person who will absolutely stop what I’m doing to say hi to your dog, and yes, they’re welcome to supervise my entire clean.
At the end of the day, I’m a homebody who really loves the simple things - a cozy home, my little family, good food, travelling somewhere new, and building a life and business that actually feels like me.

I know inviting someone into your home is a big deal. My goal has always been to make that decision feel a little easier - by showing up consistently, caring about the details, and treating your home with the same respect I’d want someone to show mine.
